After countless unsuccessful attempts applying for scholarships, I was near ready to give up. I assumed nobody believed I was worth investing in. That was, until I applied for an alumni scholarship. The generosity of folks who made this gift available gave me restored belief, which has led to me succeeding in and out of the classroom.

The selfless commitment of U of A donors to the success of students inspires me to give. During my time at the university, I was able to meet donors and thank them for their support. To hear the impact the U of A made on their lives resonated so much with me because I was experiencing the same impact. After hearing their stories, I made a commitment to give back once I was an alum. I graduated in Spring 2014 and in Fall 2014, I made my first gift.
