We are the Land of Opportunity.
Investing in Student Success and Arkansas' Future
The Land of Opportunity Scholarship campaign embraces our land-grant mission by supporting Arkansans with the greatest financial need. The scholarship provides a holistic approach to each student’s academic success. From arriving on campus as a first-year student through graduation to employment or the pursuit of an advanced degree, each scholar will receive access to ongoing mentoring, academic coaching, financial planning assistance, and career readiness support through the CORD Student Success Center and/or their home college or school.
The Land of Opportunity Scholarship campaign is an investment in each individual and will have a transformational impact on the economic development of the State of Arkansas.
A Generational Return on Investment
As a pillar of the university’s 150 Forward Strategic Plan, student success is at the forefront of the university’s land-grant mission. Students with high financial need graduate at rates 18 points lower than their peers*.
The Land of Opportunity Scholarship campaign is designed to bridge the gap between the resources that a student receives (including Pell Grant and other scholarship awards) and the cost of tuition, mandatory fees, and housing at the university.
This ambitious effort is without precedent at the U of A and its success relies on the engagement of our entire community – university, supporters, staff and students. Join us.
